About Us

-Amit Ray, Nonviolence: The Transforming Power

"Our heart is wide enough to embrace the world and hands are long enough to encompass the world."

Carrying forward the ideology of the above quote, Aakuali Care Services, a homecare service provider was established in 2020 to help people practice mental fitness and improved lifestyle regimen irrespective of one’s age.

The below values define and drive Aakuali :-

Sukanya Buzar Baruah

Founding Member

Sukanya holds experience in business development and research in the service industry. While navigating the corporate labyrinth, she became aware of the bruising competition and sometimes unrealistic expectations to succeed; which in turn mostly led to stress, and turning life into a difficult balancing act. Since she had always aspired to make a meaningful contribution to society by serving a noble cause, these observations during her corporate stint led her to find her calling to work in the space of mental health and well being.

Debastuti Baruah

Founding Member

Debastuti, on the other hand, holds expertise in the field of geriatric psychology and has been associated with various organisations working in the elder care sector. While working closely with elders and their families, she realised the emerging need for professional services aimed at supporting both the elderly and their family members.

With the field expertise of Debastuti and service sector experience of Sukanya, Aakuali was formed to focus on the mental fitness and overall lifestyle enhancement of an individual. Aakuali begins its journey with a suite of elder care services intended to provide holistic care. In the near future, Aakuali intends to expand its services to children and adults as well.

Debastuti’s role revolves around service designing, leading the core care team, understanding client requirements, initial assessments and creation of care plans. Sukanya focuses on service delivery design, setting milestones and working towards achieving them. She works closely with the caregivers to understand their satisfaction towards the services and chart road maps for improvements.

Our Concept

As said, “The first impression is the last impression” we have tried to depict the concept of our services through our logo.

The brand “Aakuali” means ‘to embrace’ which we intend to do through our unconditional care and support to anyone in need just like a tree provides its shade. This full tree is indicative of our entire lifespan, with the roots portraying elders who are the foundation of every society. The multiple colours of the leaves portray different meanings as well. The dark green leaves show maturity and hence indicates the adult population while the tender green leaves represent innocence, indicative of the young population.
